California's Latest Delusion: High Speed rail

...and their ringmaster, Jerry Brown

Brown, the unqualified dolt who helped California begin it's current path of insolvency by allowing public employees to unionize, is still trying to force the fiasco called 'high speed' rail up the noses of California's residents.

When you look at the people pushing their propaganda to get this project going, it becomes clear that Brown is simply trying to attract Federal money into California to shore up a budget shortfall he can't fix, and also pay back the unions that funded his campaign through a generous government pork program that will benefit union labor exclusively.

The Unions formed their own shill advocacy group called the Alliance For Jobs (it should be more honestly called the Alliance for UNION JOBS), and are broadcasting propaganda radio spots featuring comedian Will Durst (a mediocre talent who is probably more than eager to take any money thrown his way).

What Brown doesn't talk much about is that the 6 billion dollar test section of the system runs from Bakersfield to Fresno (Gee, I could DRIVE that route in 90 minutes!). What does it benefit the taxpayers to build a build a bullet train that goes to 2 places NOBODY cares to visit? Highway 99, a.k.a. the "Truckers' Highway" is dotted only with cheap motels and truck stops because Central California is nothing but farms and oil fields.

WHY do we need to build a rail system through this neck of California, where it is guaranteed NEVER to pay for itself?

California has once proven it's good at only 1 thing: stupid decisions that cost honest, hard working people lots of money.

Yet, we want knuckleheads like this to run the country? Sure. Just get me a lobotomy first.
